Talib-e-Wahdat by Irfan Ali Taj ( Music Video )

Описание к видео Talib-e-Wahdat by Irfan Ali Taj ( Music Video )

Presented by Simurgh
The old form of this Qasida/Kalaam has been recited in Chitral, Gilgit Baltistan and Central Asian countries for centuries as part of their Devotional/Spiritual practice. This is an Artistic presentation by Irfan to pay a tribute to this beautiful kalaam (mystical poetry), with the hope that this may inspire the youth and future generations to seek wisdom through music and the arts; eventually through the books which are treasures yet to be explored, all around us.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

I am Abd Al Salam
but if I am Unhappy with this company
I will leave this assembly
And return to its once more

If you desire that I open upon you
the vision of the door of (Divine) secrets,
Become a disciple of my heart
in the school of (Authoritative) instruction.

If you desire to see my face
open wide you inner eye,
For the outer eye sees nothing
but my timeworn body.

If you desire to know me
know your self first,
For I know those
Who know me.

While I resemble a drop
that has come out from the sea,
if you recognize the drop
you'll know that I am the sea
