On Tuesday, May 7, 2024 members of the A-7 (East Boston) Drug Control Unit with the assistance of D-4 (South End/Back Bay) and E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Units, executed multiple search warrants as part of Operation “Clean House” at 44 Border Street, East Boston.
This residential address has been a persistent hotspot for illicit drug activity within the Maverick Landing Housing Development. Numerous community complaints, 911 calls, police reports, and drug law violation arrests reported by the Drug Control Unit flagged the urgency of intervention. According to the Boston Regional Intelligence Center (“BRIC”), there have been approximately 52 documented drug-related incidents at 44 Border Street, East Boston, from January 2023 to April 2024.
After a thorough six-month investigation, authorities seized over 100 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine, along with more than 60 grams of Fentanyl, and $2,610 in US currency. Additionally, 10 suspects were arrested on various charges.

Reinaldo Diaz, 45, of East Boston was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class “A"
Edwin Pagan, 47, of East Boston was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class “A”
Christina Dionizio, 30, of East Boston was arrested for an outstanding warrant
Victoria Herrera, 30, of East Boston was arrested for trespassing
Amin Roundil, 30, of East Boston was arrested for trespassing
Youssef Benarba, 30, of East Boston was arrested on 8 outstanding warrants
Edwin Ceballo-Hernandez, 36, of East Boston was Arrested for Trafficking “A” and Trafficking “B”.
