It has become essential for digital transformation efforts globally to cement a bond between technology and business; this bond is the product. Also, the need for convergence between technology and product is getting obvious to software and product people.

These new challenges require a new kind of collaboration across all levels, from business, product, and technology, to foster a shared understanding of “the product(s)” and its building blocks, which are the connection between business requirements and the needed technical enablement.

This talk introduces the idea of product architecture as a shared mental model that connects business-level requirements and technical capabilities through collaboration to establish a new level of alignment across the whole organization, driven by its products.
