Recently, the Bureau of Indian Standards has prepared a draft standard for the Water supply system of piped drinking water. It has invited comments from water utilities, including the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), on the same. The draft has been labelled as ‘Drinking water supply quality management system — requirements for piped drinking water supply service’. The draft outlines some basic requirements for a water supplier or a water utility.
