We documented our wildfire drone detection crew on an active deployment. Drones are used to detect hotspots after a helicopter or wildfire crew has attempted extinguish the fire.

We use thermal cameras with laser range finders to pin-point coordinates of the hotspots and relay the information to wildfire services to coordinate further extinguishing efforts.
