Rashawn Davis is a Senior at Georgetown University from Newark, NJ majoring in Government and minoring in Justice and Peace Studies. In addition to being the Co-President of Georgetown's NAACP, Rashawn is currently running to become the youngest City Council-member in the history of Newark, NJ. Rashawn's city council race in Newark, NJ has earned him profiles from the likes of USA Today, MTV, and many more media outlets. Most importantly, Rashawn's work to address some of his city's greatest problems at such a young age, has increasingly earned him support from hundreds of residents, teachers, and clergymen throughout Newark. With an election date of May 13, 2014, Rashawn is poised to indeed become Newark's next and youngest City Council Member. Rashawn TED talk will explore his relationship with the word change and how his experience running for Newark City Council for the past year has helped him form a stronger understanding of what CHANGE really is.
