The Susquehanna River | Aerial PA

Описание к видео The Susquehanna River | Aerial PA

The Susquehanna River — long, wide, and majestic — traverses three states. At 444 miles long, the Susquehanna is the 16th-largest river in the United States and the longest river on the East Coast. Flowing down from New York, the water from many different tributaries combine as the river makes its way through Pennsylvania, eventually discharging into the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

Harrisburg, Pa., was developed on the east side of the river, which is nearly a mile wide at that point. Many believe the name Susquehanna is derived from the Lenape people who lived in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
