"The Prince of Pool" Corey Deuel vs "The South Dakota Kid" Shane Van Boening from the 2017 "Make It Happen" 8-Ball Invitational. This was a round robin event and Deuel was undefeated coming into this match. Van Boening was 1-2 coming into this match.

Deuel, 39, is a former US Open 9-Ball Champion and is known as one of the most creative players in the game.

Van Boening, 34, had already won almost every title available in his career, and had recently finished as a runner-up at the 2017 US Open 8-Ball Champion.
