Dear Alan | A Tribute to Alan Turing | LGBTQ | Short Film | Educational

In 2011, just as our non-profit company 'Pink Triangle Theatre' was becoming popular and performing shows all over the country, we noticed a real lack of awareness about Alan Turing. Very few students had ever heard of him, and those that had didn't know his story, what the UK did to him in return for all he did for us.

We borrowed a camera, recruited friends and wrote a short film script to highlight Alan, and we offered this as a free resource to schools, colleges etc, to help them ignite a discussion.

The original posting now has almost 5,000 views.

Our first little short film did what we had hoped, it was (and maybe still is) used in educational establishments to start a discussion about an incredibly important man.

With all this in mind, we wanted to add this here now, to our own channel, as it was (at the time) a piece of work we put our hearts into. We hope you enjoy it.
