The world believes that knowledge is taught. But Jain Tirthankars, for eons, have passed on their infinite knowledge to their prime disciples or Gandhar Bhagwants within a matter of seconds - because of the extraordinary Vinay bhaav (utmost inner respect) of these disciples.


The omniscient knowledge which Bhagwan Mahavir took 12 and a half years of deep sadhana to attain, was endowed to Gandhar Gautam Swami within 12 and a half seconds. And this knowledge was then encapsulated into scriptures by the Gandhar Bhagwants, which are known as the Aagams.


Parmatma’s compassion of dispelling the ignorance of every living being, coupled with the Gandhar Bhagwants’ devotion and unconditional surrender to his vast knowledge are two strong factors that lead to creation of the Aagam scriptures - the only source of Universal truth in today’s time when Parmatma himself is no longer present amongst us.
