Resident Evil HD Remaster is a high-definition remake of Capcom's 2002 GameCube remake of the original 1996 PlayStation video game. Resident Evil is the first installment of the critically acclaimed survival horror video game series. With better game hardware, Shinji Mikami (director of Resident Evil) deceived to bring the game closer to his original vision through better quality graphics, new gameplay mechanics, revised puzzles, additional
areas and a revised script.

Resident Evil takes place on 24 July 1998. Cases of murders of people eaten were reported in Raccoon City. A special task force (S.T.A.R.s.) is sent out to investigate these unusual deaths. However contact was lost and the team went dark, prompting team Bravo to conduct a search for them. Upon arrival at a destroyed helicopter that belongs to the missing team, team Bravo was soon attacked by a pack of dogs, forcing them to take cover in a nearby mansion, only to discover a greater evil that haunts Bravo team. With the scent of death lurking heavy at every corner, coupled with scarce resources, will Bravo team survive this living nightmare?

The game features 3D models superimposed over pre-rendered backgrounds. Players will get to choose which character they wish to play as. Each character has his or her story with a few difference in terms of gameplay mechanism.

In this playthrough, I will only be playing as Chris with knife only. I will also be pointing out moments where certain trophies can be earned.

I didn't get to save Richard, so I won't be getting the Assault Shotgun.
Footage from 19:25 onwards is from a different playthrough, thus there will be a few difference in the inventory and items in the game environment.

Delaying the Inevitable
Once you've obtained the Armor Key, you can unlock the room where Richard is on the 2F East Wing of the Mansion. You'll be prompted to get Serum, be sure to be quick as you only have 6 minutes to get back to Richard with the Serum (the timer continues even on the pause screen). Failure to save him results in the loss of an Assault Shotgun.

Get Used To It
Simply die for the first time. Quite easily achieved when playing as Jill on harder difficulties.

First Kills Are Special
Simply kill a regular zombie.

Not Taking Any Chances
Once the zombie you shot falls and a pool of blood surrounds it, use the kerosene canteen and the lighter to burn it. You'll need both a filled Canteen and lighter in your inventory to do this. Simply down a zombie and use the Canteen.

Break Out the Marshmallows!
Burn 2 zombies using only a single usage of Canteen and lighter.

Racing and Pacing + Don’t Stop Running
Finish the game under 5 and 3 hours. Timer doesn't stops at pause screens. Better to play on Very Easy difficulty.

CQC FTW
Finish the game using only your knife (no lighter, Defensive Items, and stomping zombie heads). However you're allowed to use the Rocket Launcher to defeat the Tyrant on the Helipad (only if you’ve saved Rebecca or Barry). You can't miss or else the trophy/achievement is voided. Recommended to not save anyone and use Chris for this playthrough.

Ink is for Squids
Finish the game without saving.
