Although we have reviewed several of their attachments and rods, they have a new rod on the market - the Neko Flies Ultimate Rod. So they sent us the Ultimate Rod along with two of their great attachments: Original Kittenator + Birbug to check out and feature on the site as a product review. Here's a quick run down:

The Ultimate Rod is an extendable rod that starts out 17" in length and can be expanded to 25" or 32".

The handle of the Ultimate Rod looks like wood, but is actually a firm foam that is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort

The Ultimate Rod is made of graphite with stainless steel guide rings

True to Neko Flies, the Ultimate Rod is made of strong and durable materials

You can use any Neko Flies attachments with this rod.

What it comes down to with cat wand toys is whether or not a cat will play with them - and so that's why I started this review with my 8-year old Ragdoll cats, Charlie and Trigg, and finished it with my sister's 3-year old Ragdoll cats, Ash and Addie. The interesting thing we discovered in the review process is that kitties really do have preferences. For example, Charlie and Addie prefer to play with the Kittenator attachment, whereas Trigg and Ash prefer the Birbug. Also, it's important to note, as we did in the videos below, that Neko Flies are top of the line cat wand toys - they are made with extreme thought and quality - so that the kitty remains interested during the lifetime of the toy and so that the toy does not fail in that time. The creator of Neko Flies, Ellen, was sick of crappy wand toys breaking with her cats - not only was it dangerous (they could ingest something), but it was also expensive and wasteful, replacing them all the time. So Ellen set out to create the best cat wand toy - and ever since then, she has been refining them to be even better. This one is no exception.
