Today we walk around the California resort town of Mammoth Lakes which serves the Ski Resort of Mammoth Mountain. In the summer months there's a lot of biking, camping, and hiking. There are lots of vacation rentals and a few hotels and many restaurants. We walk from Old Mammoth Lakes to the New Mammoth Lakes where there's one of the many ski lifts up the mountain in winter and a resort area. Not long after we left a major fire erupted to the west. We walk through a neighborhood with some second homes and cabins.
