If it ever feels like some of my songs are about the same thing - it's because they are. As a songwriter, sometimes I get stuck writing about the same situation or person until I've completely processed all the emotions surrounding it. A few years ago, I found myself writing all these songs about the same crush and realised they were just fictional stories because I would never actually have the guts to express my feelings. Even after writing "Stuck On You" and promising myself it would be the last song I ever wrote for this person, I still ended up writing many, many more...

"Stuck On You" became a favourite to play at gigs. I couldn't wait to take it to the studio and bring it to life with my amazing team: Neo Aiono-Fukushima (musician), and Scott Seabright (musician, recording engineer, mixing and mastering engineer). I've been restless to release this song and I'm so excited that it's finally out in the world.

As an independent artist, funds are an ongoing issue - but I've found ways around it: I've learned how to create my own cover art and music videos, as well as handle all my social media platforms and PR. I've become more confident as a one-woman team and even conceptualised, filmed, and edited this entire music video by myself.

The "Stuck On You" music video gives insight to my creative process - but I promise it's 100x less messy!
