February 9th 1980 was a day that would thrust a young nineteen year-old into the football mainstream. Justin Fashanu of Norwich City scored the goal of his life, a goal which would win him the Goal of the Season Award. From there, Justin became the first black footballer in the history of the game to be sold for £1 million. Throughout his life and career Justin would face a number of trial and tribulations, however none more so than the revelation that he was the first openly gay player in the history of the professional game. Justin's story would meet a tragic and abrupt end, however his legacy lives on stronger and more prominent than ever.
