If the partition of your computer's hard drive no longer suits your needs, adjusting the partition is a good choice. Next, I will teach you how to adjust the partition.
Method 1. Use aomei Partition Assistant to adjust with one click
Step 1. Right-click the partition you want to shrink, and then select the "One-click Adjust Space" option.
Step 2. To adjust the partition space, just drag the dot at the head or tail of the partition.
Step 3. After setting the required adjustments, you can preview the changes in the "Pending Operations" window. Then click "Apply" "Continue" to confirm and apply the changes.
Method 2. Use Disk Management to shrink the NTFS partition
Step 1. Right-click "My Computer", select "Manage", and then click "Disk Management" in "Computer Management". Disk Management displays the details of all available partitions and disk drives.
Step 2. Right-click any partition you want to resize, and then select Extend (increase size) or Shrink (reduce size) as needed.
Tip: In the shortcut menu, Extend Volume is grayed out as shown below. The main reason is that there is no unallocated space next to the C: partition.
Step 3. Select "Shrink Volume..." and the following window will open. Enter the size of the space you want to shrink. Remember that it cannot exceed the available shrinking space.
