After servicing this 'no frills' set from 1982, it was time to test it (again). Yesterday Mr C wasn't satisfied with the transmitted audio, so I changed all five electrolytic capacitors in the speech processing circuit. I've popped the previous day's 'five mile point' test right at the end of this video. Mind you, Mr Chippie nearly got wiped out by an inattentive driver as he passed 'goddy daycare'

As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route, which goes the wrong side of the hill. He stopped at the 5-mile point where we did a static test at both full power, which was 4W on this radio & low power, which was 400mW. Receive was 0.84uV for 12B SINAD.

Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for supplying the Thunderpole T3000 fitted in the test vehicle at no cost to ourselves. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
