We finally got a chance to hike the famous Mist Falls Trail in Kings Canyon National Park. This 9.2-miles trail is beautiful and well maintained. The first two miles from the trailhead is fairly flat. As soon as you hit the mark, stating you are 2.7 miles from the falls, that's when it starts gaining elevation. Some parts of the trail are shaded, and some are exposed, so we highly recommend hiking early to avoid the heat.

During our hike, we encountered 2 bears, one of which seemed to have followed us along the trail. We also saw a rattlesnake along the river, near the Mist falls. There were also a lot of mosquitos during our hike, but it was bearable. Overall, this trail is amazing; we highly recommend hiking this when you get a chance.
