California’s population is undeniably on the rise, yet according to an article in the Phoenix Business Journal, more than a quarter of Arizona’s new residents are moving here from California. In a recent post for The New York Times, Susan Weber of the demographic research site SocialExplorer.com pointed out analysis data that showed from 2012 to 2018, an average of about 250,000 people per year migrated to Arizona from other states, with the largest contribution coming from California.
