We have a few nice days ahead of us, but there is a chance for isolated showers this weekend.

"We will go through the rest of the work week with no rain and fairly comfortable humidity levels," said WRAL meteorologist Anthony Baglione. According to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, Thursday will be a warm day, with highs in the low 80s. There is no rain in the forecast Thursday, and the weather will be nice for anyone planning to tailgate for the Canes game or spend time outdoors. Friday will be a bit more warmer and humid, with a high in the mid 80s.

Right now it looks like the rain will hold off until Saturday afternoon or evening. Mother's Day is trending drier than we thought earlier this week, with a dry first half of the day then scattered showers likely again in the afternoon and evening.

"Most of Mother's Day looks relatively dry with just a spotty passing shower," Baglione said. "Highs still remain warm in the 80s for most of the extended forecast."

"By the weekend, especially Saturday, it will feel a bit more humid with a stray shower or storm possible both days," Baglione said. "It will definitely not be a washout."

Saturday's showers will be isolated and scattered in nature. Highs will be in the upper 80s. If you have outdoor plans Mother's Day afternoon, it may be a good idea to come up with a plan B, just in case.
