Ondo @ 50: Main Anniversary Event

The main event of the Ondo State 50th Anniversary was a grand celebration of heritage, unity, and progress. Held in an atmosphere of joy and thanksgiving, the event brought together past and present leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, stakeholders, youths, and citizens from across the state and beyond.

Highlights of the celebration included cultural displays showcasing the rich traditions of Ondo State, special thanksgiving prayers for peace and continued development, and goodwill messages reflecting on the journey of the state over the past five decades. The occasion also served as a moment to honour pioneers and outstanding individuals who have contributed to the growth and development of Ondo State.

In his address, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to purposeful governance, sustainable development, and a brighter future for all residents. He called on citizens to remain united and supportive as the state moves forward.

Ondo @ 50 was not just a celebration of the past, but a renewed pledge to build a stronger, more prosperous Ondo State for generations to come.
