Palinchron is a 4/5 blue flying creature that costs 7 mana to cast and allows you to untap 7 lands when it comes into play. Needless to say, this useful if you want to cast something else later in the same round but it's only the tip of the iceberg of what it's capable of.

If you got a Mana Flare in play, you can also take advantage of its second ability to return it to your hand and generate an unlimited amount of mana in your round. Although I didn't show it here, you can use that unlimited mana to cast a disintegrate and instantly destroy your opponent regardless of the amount of life he/she has at the moment.
