Alessandro del Piero 🇮🇹 (1995-2008): skills and goals

A short player but also an extremely technically gifted striker and even a free-kick specialist, he was considered by many to be one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest Italian players of all time. He is shown here scoring against Hungary, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Moldova, Finland, and Sweden. He also scored against France, Georgia, Slovakia, Wales, and the former Yugoslavia. He represented his nation for 91 matches, scoring 27 times. He helped Italy become World Champions for the fourth time in 2006. His famous strike on the semifinal of that tournament which effectively sent the Italians through to the Final at the expense of the German hosts is showcased at the end of the video.
