If you're going to be in Antigua Guatemala for a few months or so, you will need to learn the rules about how couriered packages from home work.  DHL is the only overnight service that works in Guatemala. I am not sure if they are the official service they are the most interesting to work with. The following is a tutorial for you on the subject, based on a real life adventure the Yolkobsens experienced while awaiting a couriered package from the US.
We figured we'd have our cream/journal package delivered to the DHL office near our house in Antigua Guatemala in about 3 to 5 days.  That did not happen.  It wound up taking about 10 days before we saw our stuff after taking matters into our own impatient hands.

We got the tracking number for our package and after about five days started calling the Guatemala City DHL main Guatemalan depot to find out what the hold-up was.  I got someone who spoke pretty good English but who explained the Byzantine rules and process we would have to follow to get our package.
Now we were not supposed to video. Kind of top secret. We found that out after we did the video.
