In Music we find the Allah, the Messiah, the Ram!
And in this spiritual journey this is my first venture into this divine genre 'Sufi'!
"Dama Dam Mast Qalandar" is a Sufi qawwali and a popular Sindhi folk song written by the 13th century Sufi poet Amir Khusrow in honor of the most revered Sufi saint of Sindh, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (1177–1274) of Sehwan Sharif.
I grew up listening to this song often from the voice of esteemed Ghazal singer Runa Laila ji , and conceived a dream since then to voice it.
During Eid 2024 , my wish came true when Ranodeep came up with this rythmic soundscape. So , here is our take on 'Mast Qulandar', hope you enjoy this as much as we did in creating this version. Your feedbacks are much appreciated.
