The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is an iconic landmark in Nairobi, with a rich history and significance to the country. It stands as a testament to Kenya's independence and progress, serving as a hub for international diplomacy, commerce, and culture in the heart of Nairobi.

Designed by Kenya’s first African chief architect David Mutiso and architect Karl Henrik Nøstvik from Denmark, the 32-storey building was commissioned by the first President of Kenya Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in 1967 and officially opened it on September 10, 1973 which coincided with the 10th anniversary of Kenya's independence from British colonial rule.

Formerly known as Kenyatta International Conference Centre, the iconic building was designed to be a multifunctional facility capable of hosting a wide range of events, including conferences, conventions, concerts, and so much more… and it has lived to that expectation not only in the region but across continent

The KICC stands at 105 meters (344 feet) tall, and is also a popular tourist attraction in Nairobi, offering panoramic views of the city from its observation deck. Visitors can take guided tours of the facility to learn about its history, architecture, and significance to Kenya's cultural landscape.
