Having created a few working Pye monitors, Paul turns his attention to yet another monitor, this time one with multiple faults. We are taken through the process of resolving fault conditions such as no line scan, an image brightness problem and a few capacitor problems.
As the CRTs (Cathode Ray Tubes) are no longer manufactured, the plan is to minimise the use of these monitors by making use of modern LED or LCD screens instead - the CRT versions being retained on "standby" for special occasions. In fact, the CRT versions are fitted behind the modern monitors so that they may be substituted with minimum fuss.
