Fighting Knives

Описание к видео Fighting Knives

Here is a video examining four "fighting knives" currently in my collection.

It starts with the Case XX Knives—Hunter / USMC. It features a blackened 1095 Carbon Steel blade, guard, and end cap, a grooved leather handle, and a stitched leather sheath. It is an authentic reproduction of a prototype submitted to the Armed Forces.
Length: 12.13 inches overall, Blade Length: 7 inches, and 10.2 ounces.

Now, let's move on to the legendary KaBar USMC Fighter (straight edge). This knife, with its black-coated 1095 Cro-Van steel blade, steel guard, and end cap, and stitched leather sheath, is a testament to the quality and durability that KaBar is known for, instilling confidence in its performance.
Length: 11.875 inches overall, Blade Length: 7 inches, and 11.2 ounces.

The next knife on the list is from Ontario Knife Company. It is the Ontario Mark III Trench Knife, a reproduction of the World War II M-3 Trench Knife. This one features a black zinc phosphate-coated 1095 carbon steel blade, a grooved leather handle, and a steel guard and end cap. It has a stitched and riveted leather sheath.
Length: 10.75 inches overall. Blade Length: 6.875 inches and reported at 17.6 ounces in weight.

The final knife is also from the Ontario Knife Company. It is the Mark III Navy Knife, which is used exclusively by US Naval Forces. It has produced this knife for many decades, and all have seen combat with the US Armed Forces. Hard plastic sheath with sprung internal retaining mechanism.
Length: 10.75 inches overall, Blade length: 6 inches with a tapered saw back serration, Weight: 10 ounces.

Well, that is it for this one.

Stay tuned - more to come!!
