And this is it! The Kaiser Dragon, lord of all dragons, awaiting for me at the very end of the Dragon's Den, keeping watch over the Diabolos Magicite. And I finally kicked this superboss's butt (or tail. Or whatever)

Well, my party was incidental...as in, I had no idea I was going to tackle the final boss with party #2! So I was pretty much stuck with what I initially formed. But it's all good, because I was able to use whatever characters I had for this fight.

Kaiser Dragon is a mean boss for sure. This was my first time against this guy, so I tried some things which worked best than others. Entrancing Terra didn't seem to help much, mostly because I needed someone to keep healing, and she had to fill that role, with her amazing Dualcast. So I reverted as soon as I realized that I was just wasting her precious Trance form on this. Edgar was jumping all the time (Edgar is one helluva Dragoon), and Sabin was using Phantom Rush all the way through ('cept when I messed up the combo, once or twice, no big deal). That way I was able to overcome the constant barrier change this boss likes to spam.

And I kinda forgot to use Reraise at the start of the battle, which would've easily lead to a game over if I hadn't thought about using it quickly before the Kaiser Dragon's final attacks: He likes to use Heartless Angel, to reduce the party HP to one, and follow it up with Ultima, to make sure you die along with it; Thankfully Terra's reraise status kicked in, and saved me from a shameful Game over :D

On to the Soul Shrine, and afterwards, the Omega Weapon!
