Описание к видео Ewhurst Green model railway – London South Western Division 1930s cross-country services.

London South Western Division 1930s cross-country services (Southern Railway).

‘Greyhound’ T9 steam locomotive no.312 hauling 4 LAV (four-coach Lavatory) ex.LSWR set 314.
T9 no.312 was outshopped Southern livery February 1925 appearing here without ‘E’ prefix which was removed on 17th March 1933. The locomotive received wartime black livery in June 1941.
With its coaches dating back to 1904, 4 LAV was renumbered set 134 and received SR Olive in January 1925. It was shortened to a 3 LAV with its July 1937 repainting; the Third Lavatory (TL) coach initially becoming 'Loose'.

These model 4 LAV coaches really are superb, arguably being one of the most exciting releases in recent years.

'Schools' V class steam locomotive no.907 ‘Dulwich’ (into traffic July 1930) hauls Maunsell low-window set (with four-compartment Brakes) no.392.
3 COR (three-coach Corridor) set 392 entered into service July 1926 (lined Olive Green) with last pre-war paining date being 16th December 1935. It was withdrawn 9th October 1959 possibly in Crimson Lake & Cream livery.

Ewhurst Green is a fictional BR(S) 4mm=1' scale model railway which has its basis on several planned (but never built) railway schemes in Surrey (from Dorking) that may have served the villages of Ewhurst and Ewhurst Green (as a junction for Cranleigh and Guildford) on its route down through Midhurst to conceivable join the railway from Brighton along the coast of Southern England near to Havant, thence onto Portsmouth and Southampton.

Thank you to Signalman Luke for his visiting rolling stock and much-appreciated support in enabling this video to be made.
