Meroitic is a dead East Saharan language once spoken in the land of Kush in what is nowadays southern Egypt and northern Sudan. It was a written language from the 3rd century BCE to the 4th century CE. It was displaced in the region by Coptic and Old Nubian. Its closest related language is the poorly documented, now extinct, Berti language. Its closest living language is Zaghawa/Beria. Traditional African linguistics has been unable to decipher the language. Past theories have related the language to Nubian, Nara, Nilo-Saharan and Afro-Asiatic, without much success in making the language legible.

The linguistic position and profile of Meroitic is my original thesis from Fall 2016. Regretfully, I was plagiarised before I could collect lexiographical data from speakers of Saharan languages. As a consequence, I have been selective in what I release in anticipation of the future challenge to my original authorship. Fortunately, Meroitic is sufficiently ambiguous that many of the language’s secrets will remain hidden for decades to come.

I have gone public to deny them this ill-begotten headstart and to draw attention to extreme civil rights abuses being perpetrated in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
