Marine Accidents Prevention Through Proficiency in Navigation Rules of the Road

I have always been concerned about the difficulties many learners faced with fully understanding navigation rules of the road. These difficulties are reflected in exam pass rates, international research and probable cause of many marine accidents.

To help learners better understand navigation rules, I began to incorporate
multimedia into my classroom lectures. Although this proved beneficial, I felt an eLearning solution would be most effective, especially in this pandemic era, for many learners.

The following video about my navigation rules eLearning solution is based on a paper I wrote and presented at the 26th International Maritime Lecturers Association (IMLA) Conference in Batumi, Georgia in 2019.
