Vigor mapping is nothing new to the wine industry. NDVI imaging has been used by vineyard owners and managers for nearly forty years. Did you know, however, that there are many errors associated with NDVI imaging? That's why scientists at VineView use the EVI, or Enhanced Vegetation Index, for vigor mapping. EVI eliminates errors associated with NDVI imaging, including those caused by soil variations, shadows, and solar incidence angles that typically plague NDVI imaging.
