Upgrading your Luminox 3050 series, Changing Battery, Changing Mineral Crystal to Sapphire

Short spec sheet:

Sapphire Crystal: 32.5mmx3mm
Battery: Renata 395

Wanted to have a service done on my 6 year old Luminox 3051BO.
The quota from the official dealer in Tokyo for Luminox was as below:

Changing the Battery: 12000JPY
Change the Crystal: 20000JPY
Total: 32000 JPY. (Around 320 USD)
12800 JPY (128 USD IF you still have warranty)

This is actually more expensive than the watch itself.

Instead, I ordered a Sapphire Crystal for 30 USD from ebay, upgrading the current mineral one that was easy to scratch, and had a hazy look.
The battery costs 2 USD, totaling at 32 USD (3200JPY).

I won't recommend the following if you're a stickler with warranty, or have too much money to worry about this.
