Cow was a very important entity in all traditional building methods, all over India. Apart from being employed for manual jobs like grinding lime mortars and mixing mud for cob with their hooves, many derivatives from cow like dung, urine, curd, casein and ghee (clarified butter) are additives of natural plasters and flooring in different parts of India. It was a long awaited desire of Thannal to present this active part of cow in the shelter making process and a life that is close to nature.
