Here are 5 things that I wish I had known before starting my first Ark Genesis 2 play through. Ark Genesis 2 is a different kind of gameplay than in the previous DLC's, and as a player that's been around since Early Access, I'm still deciding if I love it, hate it, or if I'll just get used to a different play style.

I also wanted to provide a SIMPLE and GUARANTEED TO WORK trap for those just starting out and want to grab two of the new critters out there, the Maewing and the Astrodelphis. So stay til the end of the video to see how to construct and use this trap and you too will be able to grab your first Maewing at Level 12!

Oil Vein Locations that I've found so far (all are on the Rockwell side):
52.8 x 23.1 (there are 2 here)
54.1 x 09.5
53.7 x 28.8
There may be more, that's just the one's Ive found.

Harvest rates on my server are at 5X, and taming is at 3X, so your experience will vary depending on the settings on the server you are playing.
