A research by the World Travel and Tourism Council found that Portugal has a workforce shortage of 85,000 people throughout the country.

The WTTC data cover July-December 2021 and 2022 and include the US, Spain, UK, Italy, France, and Portugal.



No previous research has shown how detrimental a shortage of workers may be to the country's economic recovery.



Staff shortages were found in every country surveyed, with demand outstripping supply in every single case studied.
