OK, bought this one not long ago on Fleabay. Seller didn't pack well, but other than a broken tube it survived. Come to find out, (of course) the other 2 tubes were bad anyway LOL. So this is made by Transel, who is also the maker of the Firecracker 50, Dynamite 150 shwn here, Nitro 300 and the Magnum 600. The Dynamite 150 is the only one I have left at present and I never had a Magnum 600.
Starting from smallest to largest:
Firecracker 50 1 6lq6 50 watts
Dynamite 150 1x2 6lq6 150 watts
Nitro 300(a) 1x4 6lq6 300 watts
Magnum 600 1x2x7 6lq6 600 watts

Transel's do the watts that they are supposed to do, however, they are not the most dependable amps made. They mounted the tubes and components on a circuit board and which can be problematic, especially with heat. At least with this Dynamite 150, it is not being pushed real hard. 150 watts out of a 1x2 is not bad. It has a Pi network (Tune and Load) for both the Driver and Final, but other than the big Tune knob on the front, it uses small internal variable caps where the cover needs to be removed and a screwdriver needed to adjust them. Also doesn't help that all the small caps are located next to the HV too. That's an accident waiting to happen. The amp does not have a tuned input network or a pre-amp. Just a main power switch, Standby / Transmit switch, and AM / SSB delay switch.
It keys around 50 watts and swings up to around 80 RMS and 180 peak with my mud duck radio putting 3 1/2 watts going into it. That's about all I would recommend driving it with. CB's back in the day put out about 3-3 1/2 watts until the FCC changed the rules for 4 watts maximum. Though CB amps were always illegal to use on CB, they were made for 3 - 3 1/2 watts input because that's what the CB's put out back then. Nowadays. IMHO, the number 1 killer of CB amps is overdriving them. I hear people all the time say that sweep tubes can take about 20 watts each input. Yes, that would be correct. However, CB amps have 'Driver Tubes' and what do you think the driver tubes is for? They take the 3 watt radio going into an amp and amplify that 3 watts to about 20 watts and feed that into the final tubes. Go ahead and drive the driver tubes hard. Yeah, it will do crazy watts, but for how long? Answer is Not Long at ALL.
