In todays video I show you part nature preserve where I walk alone on a 28 km hike into the forest of Kanada. The section I walked is just a sample of some of the wonderful nature you can experience in this wonderful forest. Here you can camp year round and on parts of the trail it is put up signs with the title "This is all yours !" - as this nature is meant to be open for everyone to enjoy.

I packed light on this hike as I wanted to bring only a small Jetboil stove, coffee and warm clothes.

On this trip I did not meet any people. It was so quiet and peaceful. Just as I like it.

I have said many times that the hiking and trekking experiences you can have in Norway is simply magical. And yes - Kanada is not a spelling error. This is the name of a wonderful hiking and trekking area located to the West of Oslo, Norway. Here you will find a forest area of approximate 27 km long by 15 km wide with several small fishing waters, nature preserves, wild animals such as Moose, Roe Deers, Fox, Badger and Stoats are some of the animals you can encounter in these forests. Western capercaillie, Black grouse, Goldcrest, Willow tit and Eurasian treecreeper are just some of the birds I saw on this hike.

On this day I started on my hike 30 minutes before sunrise on a cold 3°C foggy morning. The walk up from the parking are to this beautiful little water took me about 6 hours, and every step of the way was pure fun and excitement.

You never know what you can come across during this time of year. I saw plenty of capercaillie on my way up. And when returning I saw that a big Moose had followed me a few km on the gravel road. I have come across moose several times while hiking alone in these forests and meeting these magnificent animals in their own habitat is simply spectacular.
