Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDi Timing Belt Replacement

Описание к видео Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDi Timing Belt Replacement

How to remove and replace the timing belt on a Citroen Xsara fitted with the 2.0 DW10TD (90 Bhp) HDi Engine.

My mum drives this car and it has proven to be very reliable and economical, but with 103,000 miles on the clock and no form of service history i was worried about the timing belt, it was a good job it has been changed as the old one was in poor condition.

The process is almost identical to the 406 i did the video for a few years ago, the engine bay in the Xsara is just slightly less accessible, having said that its not as bad as some others like the Xsara Picasso, or 307.
This is the 406 timing belt video:

It is quite an involved job, a lot of things to do and it needs to be done correctly otherwise it can cause serious damage to the cars engine.
I would recommend reading the Haynes Manual and this guide a number of times to fully understand what is involved:

I hope this video helps to show what is involved with a timing belt change on a 2.0 HDi DW10 engine, but i strongly recommend that you read the manual and the other guides.
I only intend for this video to help condense the timing belt replacement procedure, any suggestions on how to do things differently are welcome.
