ABOUT

The tomb of Bibi Subhan is located in the agricultural fields north-east of the Dera Mir Miran village. It is a protected monument under Archaeological Survey of India and is also a sacred place for the locals, as they offer chadar and light candles on the graves. There is a story attributed to Bibi Subhan and this tomb. Once upon a time, a holy saint named Mir Miran, whose original name was Saiyid Amir, met Sultan Bahlol Lodi, while he was marching towards Delhi for the annexation of the throne in 1451. The tomb is also known as Mir Miran's tomb. The inner chamber consists of two graves. It is clear that one of them belongs to Bibi Subhan. Whether the second one belongs to Mir Miran is not confirmed because of no authentic written records. The tomb looks very similar to the Sheesh Gumbad located in the Lodi Gardens of Delhi and the use of bricks in the construction of the tombs are same in the both structures (tomb of Bibi Subhan and Sheesh Gumbad).
