As revealed by Paramashiva in the Kāmikāgama, Uttara Pāda, Mahotsava Vidhiḥ, the sacred utsava is defined as the divine sequence of rituals that begins with Dhvajarohanam (flag hoisting) and concludes with Dhvaja Avarohanam. In strict accordance with this Agamic command, Dhvajarohanam marks the formal, cosmic, and spiritual commencement of Nithyanandotsavam, the 49th Jayanthi celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam.

Dhvajarohanam is the sacred ritual in which the Dhvaja (flag) is hoisted on the Dhvaja-stambha (flag pole) at a precisely calculated muhūrta, aligned to supremely auspicious planetary and stellar positions. This Agamic act is an invocation that announces the beginning of the Brahmotsavam to the cosmos.

With the hoisting of the Dhvaja, all Devas and Devīs from the 14 Lokas, descends intensely and powerfully into the temple premises. From this moment, the temple becomes a living cosmic space, charged for the Avatara Dinotsava and the unfolding of the sacred celebrations.

This Dhvajarohanam also marks the opening of the 49th KAILASA’s Nithyananda Jayanthi Celebrations, inviting devotees worldwide to participate in the divine observance. Through authentic Vedic rituals, traditional offerings, and collective prayers—including the auspicious Mandagapadi Seva—the living presence of the Avatar is celebrated, invoking blessings of peace, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment for all.
