The pay was high. The interview was non-existent. I took the night shift at the North Terminal Logistics Center because I was desperate. I thought I would just sit in a booth and watch monitors.

But on my first night, I found a logbook left by the previous guard. It contained a list of strange, specific rules. Rule #1: Patrol clockwise only. Rule #3: Do not use the Vending Machine. Rule #4: If you smell rotting apples... hide.

Tonight, the sensors at the sealed Loading Dock went off. A truck that shouldn't exist is delivering a cargo that I didn't order. And the elevator has started moving on its own toward a floor that isn't on the blueprints.
