Enjoy this historical beauty - হাওড়া জেলার সাঁকরাইলে ৩০০ বছরেরও বেশি পুরনো একটি জমিদার বাড়ি যা তার শেষ হওয়ার দিন গুনছে। এলাকার বিখ্যাত জমিদার ঘোষ পরিবারের এই জীর্ণ বসত বাড়িটি আজও পুরনো জৌলুসের সাক্ষী হয়ে রয়েছে। ইতিহাসের পাতা বা স্থানীয় লোক শ্রুতি থেকেও ধীরে ধীরে হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে এই জমিদার বাড়ির ইতিহাস। অথচ এই অট্টালিকা এখনো ইঙ্গিত দেয়, এক সময় কী বৈভবটাই না ছিল। মনে রাখবেন এই সুন্দর ঐতিহাসিক বাড়িটি ভূতুড়ে নয়| তাই দয়া করে অকারণে গুজব ছড়াবেন না|

বাংলার জমিদারি আমলের পুরনো ঐতিহ্যবাহী কিছু নিদর্শন যদি প্রত্যক্ষ করতে চান তাহলে আপনাকে অবশ্যই একবার এখানে আসতেই হবে। চোখের সামনে যেন জীবন্ত ইতিহাস|

আপনি যদি হওড়া রেল স্টেশন থেকে এখানে পৌঁছতে চান তবে যে কোনও একটি হওড়া-মেদিনীপুর লোকাল, হওড়া-খড়গপুর লোকাল, হওড়া-পানসকুরা লোকাল ধরে আন্দুল রেল স্টেশনে যান, সেখান থেকে যেকোনো জনপরিবহনের মাধ্যমে আড়াই কিলোমিটার দূরে অবস্থিত এই স্থানটিতে পৌঁছতে পারবেন ১০ মিনিটের মধ্যে।

জমিদার বাড়ির একাংশে এনাদের বংশধর এখন আছেন ওনাদের থেকে অনুমতি নিয়ে ভিতরে ঢুকবেন।
