MA2 Virtual Rig Build - July 2021

This is a timelapse of a new lighting rig idea I had while listening to a new album.

I wanted to try a couple of new things with this one, including using framing shutter and truss automation. I have not used moving paths before, so will see how this comes out.

It is a little ‘warts and all’ this time as even though I had a basic drawing, I was a little unsure about the dimensions and how the rig looked over all. Some fixtures changed as I was going due to brightness and some of the features available. Originally, I wanted to use VL6000 beams, and Robe Ledbeam 350s, but there was way too much of a difference. As much as I could have used discharge washes, I wanted to go with LED for speed.
Hope you enjoy even with a lot of the trial and error things. This rig will be used for a virtual passion project, and will see if I can do an entire album as a show on MA3D. It will take a lot of work, and I’m doing other temp work while waiting for events work to come in (still).
