"Staying with the Gap :
Performance, Inaccessibility, and
Planetary Thinking"

Rather than claiming empathetic access to the nonhuman, the project confronts the irreducible gap between species as a space of ethical co-existence and material interdependence. In this view, ecological theater becomes not a vehicle for environmental representation, but a speculative practice of being-with, grounded in vulnerability and entanglement. I propose that planetary thinking begins precisely in this space of disorientation, where care emerges not from mastery, but from surrender..

Abstract Planetary art is emerging with communication technologies. Global imagination, sound art, tactile art, its works are so many links that connect the art of the twentieth century, the forms of classical and contemporary art, the advances of the avant-gardes, to networked digital art. Planetary art is technoromantic: it can only exist through communication technologies. It emerges in the context of the conquest of space and threats to the planetary environment.
