While neural networks use more processing resource than traditional algorithms, they may often outperform them in tasks like picture classification and market price prediction.
Training data quantity is another issue to think about. If you want your neural network to learn efficiently, you’ll need a lot of data, and it’ll learn faster the more data it’s trained on. That’s why, even for straightforward jobs, a neural networks may be more effective than traditional algorithm when there’s enough of training data to go around.
It relies on the job at hand and the available training resources to say with any certainty that one particular kind of algorithm is superior than another. When deciding which algorithm to use for a certain issue, it is vital to take into account the benefits and drawbacks of both neural network and traditional algorithms.
