Bembel With Care Wacken Apfelwein

I am so stoked to have found this at the Beer Zone in Columbus, Ohio. Bembel With Care Wacken Apfelwein is a special can released for Wacken Open Air W.O.A. I assume this is the same as the Bembel With Care Apfelwein just in a specially branded can. If you don't know W.O.A is one of the biggest metal festivals in the world held in Germany every summer since 1989. As the name says, this is not a beer. I didn't realize when I bought it that it was a mix of Cider and Aronia Soda. I also didn't realize it contained Guarana. However, that does not matter because it is so cool to me to have this beverage. This beverage poured out a cherry soda red which surprised me as I thought it would be more of a Cider color. It had a soda like head and was very carbonated in the appearance. The nose was big green apple. The flavor was crisp apple with out that bitter apple bite on that back end that ciders tend to have. It had a nice sweetness to it but was not cloying. Surprisingly the mouthfeel was not as carbonated as it looked. This drank like a nice apple soda with nothing detracting from it. I could drink a ton of these easily. This would be a great beverage for drinking while at a hot open air festival
