New 2026 Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric Prototype | One of Cutest Car - First Look | Motor Continent

Twingo E-Tech electric prototype will be unveiled in public for the first time during the upcoming Paris Motor Show, which will take place from 14 to 20 October 2024.

The show car is true to its legacy, radiates the first Twingo generation’s spirit and rises to its day’s challenges, in this case with an electric urban vehicle designed for city driving without compromises.

Twingo E-Tech electric prototype prefigures the production car, which will reach the market in 2026. With prices starting at less than €20,000, it fulfils Renault’s pledge to put electric mobility within ever more people’s reach.

The rear design calls to mind the original Twingo’s emblematic tail, and the black rim around the rear windshield adds a modern touch. The protruding taillights, which are the same shape as the headlamps, give the car a high-tech feel. The Twingo lettering at the centre of the tailgate adds cheer.

Twingo E-Tech electric prototype is more than a vehicle: it also has an unmistakeable face. Its expressive and endearing look comes from the headlamps and the lines of its front end, topped by the brand emblem. Something about it makes you think of an air of complicity and familiarity.

The headlamps, directly inspired by the first generation, are another aspect of Twingo E-Tech electric prototype’s fetching character in a class by itself. They jut out of the body and give it an original, modern, high-tech feel.

Twingo E-Tech electric prototype has an ample glass roof to fill the passenger compartment with daylight and open it up to the outdoors.

The memorable handles across the two doors on either side come straight from the 1992 model – and now have a round rim that lights up.

The three small openings on the bonnet aren’t there to let air into the motor (this future all-electric city car doesn’t need them): they are a tribute to the car’s legacy.

On the front of the bonnet, a screen displays the logo that comes to life. As for the front headlight, it goes out surreptitiously, as a wink.
