On its Fifth Convocation Ceremony, Shiv Nadar University conferred honorary doctorate upon Dr. Ashok Seth, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardee; Globally Renowned Cardiologist; and Chairman, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. In conferring Dr. Seth with an Honorary Doctorate, the Shiv Nadar University recognizes his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine and advancing the field of Cardiology. His efforts and innovations have saved thousands of lives over the last three decades and will continue to do so in the future. He exemplifies the values, mission and vision of the University, which emphasizes the need for innovation in every field. He is an inspiration for the entire SNU community.



'Dil ka doctor hoon, dil ke baat karta hoon' quipped Dr. Seth, as he delivered his acceptance speech. "First comes character; second, blessings of your patients; third, appreciating the sacrifices made by your near and dear ones so that you can succeed; last, to never forget the will of the God above," he shared while addressing the graduating Class of 2019.
